08/03/2010This thursday the 11th March the Invisble Idols will headline the "Rock Out Cancer" Charity Event at Barnsley's Lucorum. The album is almost completed and should be available by end of March. Expect the November UK Tour Dates to be announded in April. |
01/03/2010The Invisible Idols gig this evening is still on but sadly Waddie from Junction 31 has a throat infection so they will be stepping down for tonight's event. There are still 2 other bands on with the Idols this evening. We wish Waddie a speedy recovery and look forward to gigging with them again soon! |
21/02/2010The Boardwalk gig in Sheffield has now be rescheduled to Monday 1st March, the band are performing with Junction 31 and Retention Method. |
12/02/2010The Idols are well away with the album which should be completed in the next few weeks. The first 1000 copies will be issued to fans free then you can download the tracks from i-tunes. Mondays gig at The Corporation in Sheffield is almost sold out and the event is being filmed so you will soon find edited clips of the gig on YouTube, Myspace & Facebook. |
07/02/2010Thank you all who attended The Lucorum in Barnsley on friday, the band are preparing for their double header gig at The Corporation with Rotherham Rockers "Volume Zero" which falls on monday 15th February, this gig is almost sold out so be quick to get the last few tickets! |
28/01/2010After a couple weeks of working in the studio the Idols are halfway through what has now been agreed to be a 9 track EP which should be completed by the end of February. The band's first gig is this monday the 1st February at The Boardwalk in Sheffield, this warm up gig will have the band back into practice for the Lucorum gig in Barnsley on friday 5th! And the Corporation in Sheffield on monday 15th! Expect to hear some new material at these next 3 gigs. |
10/01/2010Hello everyone, hope you have had a great Christmas & New Year! The band has new images in the gallery from the photoshoot in december 09. More images will soon be available in the next few weeks. Invisible Idols are currently in the studio recording the new 8-track EP. This should be available in february. The first 1000 copies will be available for FREE then all tracks will be available on i-tunes and various other websites, more information on this to follow. The band's are performing 3 shows in february as part of the warm ups to the UK Tour in November. Check the Tour Dates page to find all confirmed upcoming gigs. |

18/12/2009A big thank you to all who attended the Invisible Idols Christmas Party in Wombwell last night, the venue was packed and the band and crowd we're competing to be the loudest! Huge thank you to Andy Owen & Paul Harris from Hide & Seek Music for helping put on the gig. Thanks to local DJ Pete Robinson for hosting the event, and of course to Sam North & John Hardman working on sound as crew. The band's appreciation goes out to Paul Marshall for photography and to Stuart Arnold for travelling from Derby to set up various camera's within the venue to film the show! 14/12/2009The Invisible Idols Christmas Party is almost SOLD OUT! The band has recently added events for the 2010 UK Tour which will take place in November. There are more to follow as there will be over 20 gigs that month. Another of the warm up gigs has been added to February at Sheffield's Corporation as a double header with Rotherham Rockers Volume Zero, tickets available shortly. |
02/12/2009The band are to attend two photoshoots in December & January for the promo images for the 2010 tour. 28/11/2009Last night the new Idols line up rocked York and everyone gave Damien "Damo" Campbell a fantastic welcome. The band are looking forward to playing to what is an almost sold out event at KG's in just short of 3 weeks time. Honour Our Troops are putting together a compilation album to raise funds and have requested the band submit the song "Forever With Me" for their project which the Idols have agreed to do so. Yesterday was also the release of Rock Of The North's Cancer Research Charity CD "ROTN To The Core" which features the Idols song "If You Love Me" which was performed with Chantel McGregor. The opening track of the album is a multi-artist performance which features various vocalists & guitarists from Yorkshire which include Idols frontman Matt Black. Early 2010 will see the band in talks with Management & Promoters to organise the UK tour which will take place at the end of next year. But you will get the opportunity to see the band at a festival near you this summer with new material and free CD's will be on offer! |
27/11/2009Due to unforseen circumstances the band have had to say goodbye to Lee Brook on drums. But to take over is Damien Campbell, well known as one of West & South Yorkshires top drummers; Damien brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the Idols drum-stool and we welcome him aboard with a view to record the new EP & obtain the new publicity shots in January 2010. Damien will play the existing shows this year at The Junction in York tonight and KG's Barnsley on 17th december. Feel free to come along and give our new drummer a warm welcome! |

16/11/2009The band would like to thank everyone who attended the charity event on saturday evening at Ivory Blacks in Glasgow. A huge thank you to the event organisers of SAHBstock 2 for having the band on. Matt played a solo acoustic set at SAHBstock 1 last year and was overjoyed that they wanted him to come back with a full band. This time the show was viewed by members of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band... Chris Glenn, Max Maxwell & Zal Cleminson. Zal took part in some of the writing of a number of Idols songs and he is launching a new book in 2010 named "Hail Vibrania". A link to Zal's new website will be posted shortly. |

30/10/2009On 28.10.09 Idols bass player Joe Lally jammed with american blues star Walter Trout at The Robin 2 in Wolverhampton. Joe has been doing this for the past few years. The band are looking forward to performing and working with other big names in 2010! Next month see's the Idols travel to Glasgow to perform at "SAHBStock 2" at the Ivory Blacks. The event is for charity and has now officially SOLD OUT! |

23/10/2009The band has a busy weekend ahead with the Sincere Support Charity gig at Birdwell Venue in Barnsley tomorrow evening! Fans are welcome to pay on the door, entry is £5 + Support from our good friends Acoustic Child. And monday the band are over in Wakefield to perform to over 600 students at Mustang Sally's, band onstage after 11pm. It's going to be a late on and a night to remember... well... it is £1 a drink... so maybe not! |

There is a large advertisement in this months "Barnsley Eye Magazine" regarding Invisible Idols supporting Kajagoogoo at O2 Academy Sheffield on Thursday 24th September. This organisation holds fund-raising events of all kinds allover the world. 16/06/2009At dinnertime today the lads are going down to Dearne FM Studio in Barnsley for a pre-recorded interview regarding the Lucorum Charity gig, the O2 Academy Sheffield gig and the station will be playing one of the tracks on air! The show should be played next week running upto the Lucorum Charity Event on friday 26th June 09. Doors open at 7pm for this event and the show kicks off with support from the fantastic "Acoustic Child". A raffle will be drawn so heres your chance to win some free booze... and you could also win a FREE PAIR OF INVISIBLE IDOLS LIVE AT O2 ACADEMY TICKETS! 03/06/2009Lucorum tickets are nearly all sold out! Please purchase from Box Office 01142 767 093 as you cannot gain entry on the night without a ticket due to capacity restrictions of 400 at the venue. Lee has settled onto the band's drumstool very quickly, anyone would think he had grown there! The band are to attend Dearne FM Radio Station's Studio 16.06.09 for a pre-recorded interview and the possibility of having one of the tracks played on air. More dates will be announced shortly with the Idols supporting top artists and playing double-headers with some of Yorkshires hottest bands! |
26/05/2009This weekend, Idols Vocalist Matt Black took part in the recording of "Hope" the Gav Coulson penned rocker for the Rock Of The North To The Core Campaign CD. Danny Firth, Gav Coulson, Johnny Crossland, Shane Haigh, and Chantel McGregor laid some awesome guitar down, then Chantel, Matt Black, and Matt Duggan sang their hearts out. The day ran smoothly and it was nice to see them all applauding and congratulating each other. Mick Norbury, Pete Goodfellow, Coz Kommando and Andy Kommando will be contributing to the song and Tim Gillespie will be doing the massive task of splicing the lot together. Can't wait to hear the finished product! |
15/05/2009The Idols reluctantly have had to say goodbye to our good friend Mr Shane "Rock N Roll" Jagger. Unfortunately, Shane can no longer commit to the band so we wish him all the best in any future projects! BUT it is not all doom and gloom as taking his place on the stool is Mr Lee "POWERHOUSE" Brook aged 25 from Castleford, Lee brings a wealth of experience and skill to the Idols backline and will be performing at all upcoming shows as Invisible Idols new permanent drummer!
