About Invisible Idols

Invisible Idols was formed in November 2008 by Matt Black, Shane Jagger & Joe Lally. The band's name was chosen by Matt & Shane after looking through old paperwork from a previous group they had performed in together. There was sheet with band name suggestions which had the name Invisible Idols in there. The group began rehearsals, recording and having various publicity shots prior to their warm up gigs for 2009 which began with the Lucorum in June in aid of Cancer Research UK. 6 weeks before the event Shane informed the band that he could no longer stay in the group due to work commitments. In came Lee Brook from West Yorkshire who performed alongside Joe & Matt at some great venues & events including Yorkshire Rock & Bike Show in Leeds, Lionfest in Castleford, Mustang Sally's in Wakefield, Ivory Blacks in Glasgow, O2 Academy Sheffield (one of which was supporting 80's group Kajagoogoo). Due to unforseen circumstances the band had to let Lee go, taking over was Damien Campbell, one of West Yorkshires top drummers. Damien, Joe & Matt are currently working towards finishing the new EP for early 2010 and are playing various festival appearances through out the summer to promote the UK tour which will take place in late 2010.
